Booking and Cancellation Policies | Pakareqtampu Travel
1. Confirmation Process and Payment Management
All booking requests will be formally processed once the corresponding deposit, transfer, or payment is verified according to the established deadlines. Itineraries, presale rates, and availability of the requested slots are firmly confirmed only upon the issuance of the official booking receipt by our system.
2. Provision of Mandatory Information and Documentation
It is the sole responsibility of the passengers to provide correct personal data, including full names, valid passport or ID numbers, date of birth, and nationality. Any error or delay in delivering this information that results in additional costs or loss of slots will be fully assumed by the client.
3. Strict Inflexibility Clause for Machu Picchu
Due to current regulations established by the government entities of the Peruvian State and local railway operators, it is categorically established that:
- All tour packages, excursions, or individual services that partially or fully include the Machu Picchu destination are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Inca citadel entrance tickets, Consettur bus tickets, and train tickets are strictly nominative and non-transferable, preventing any change of name, date, or transfer of the service to third parties.
4. Mandatory Direct Coordination for Cancellations
Any request for cancellation, annulment, or voluntary withdrawal from a scheduled trip must be formally communicated and coordinated exclusively with the Pakareqtampu Travel team. No cancellation will be recognized without the written confirmation and prior evaluation of our agency’s qualified staff.
5. Voluntary Itinerary Modifications
Requests to change travel dates, modify routes, or alter components of a tour package that do not include Machu Picchu are subject to the availability of the corresponding providers. These modifications may generate logistical penalties and rate differences that must be covered by the user to proceed with the service update.
6. Policies for Force Majeure or Unforeseen Events
Pakareqtampu Travel acts as an organized intermediary between travelers and final service providers. In situations beyond operational control, such as strikes, road blockages, natural disasters, flight cancellations, or adverse weather conditions, the agency will provide the necessary assistance to reschedule activities, but will not be held responsible for additional expenses derived from these events.
7. No-Show Clause
The failure of the passenger to show up at the place, date, and time indicated on the service vouchers or itineraries for the start of any tour, transfer, or overnight stay will automatically be considered a No-Show. Under this scenario, the client definitively forfeits the right to claim any type of refund, compensation, or rescheduling of the missed activity.
8. Refunds for Flexible Package Components
For those independent services within the itinerary that do allow cancellations according to the policies of their respective direct providers, such as hotels or local airlines, Pakareqtampu Travel will evaluate and process the corresponding refund. These refunds will be subject to deductions for administrative expenses and bank transaction fees.
9. Individual Responsibility and Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended that all travelers acquire a comprehensive travel insurance policy with international coverage before starting their activities. Each passenger is responsible for maintaining an adequate health status for the selected hikes or adventure excursions, as well as caring for their luggage and personal belongings during the development of the route.
10. Full Acceptance of Contractual Terms
The formal act of making a full or partial payment to secure a booking with Pakareqtampu Travel implies the automatic, tacit, and unreserved acceptance of each of the clauses detailed in this policy document. The stipulated conditions constitute a binding agreement between the client and the operating agency.
