Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay – Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint – Arequipa
- Early morning pickup at your hotel in Arequipa and overland transfer in tourist transportation towards the Colca Valley.
- Stop along the route to enjoy a traditional breakfast at a tourist restaurant in the area.
- Arrival at the famous Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint to appreciate the depth of the canyon and contemplate the impressive flight of the condor.
- Optional free time to relax in the comforting local thermal baths.
- Transfer to the typical town of Chivay with free time available to enjoy lunch.
- Return journey in tourist transportation towards the city of Arequipa, with an estimated arrival in the afternoon.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay – Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint – Arequipa
03:00 a.m. Hotel pickup — Departure to Colca. Pickup from your hotel in Arequipa. We begin a journey of approximately 4 hours towards the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, making a stop at a tourist restaurant for a traditional breakfast.
08:00 a.m. Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint. We arrive at the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world. From the viewpoint, you will have the opportunity to see the impressive flight of the Andean condor. Then, you can relax in the thermal baths of the area (optional activity, entrance fee not included).
Midday – Afternoon Chivay and return to Arequipa. Subsequently, you will have free time to have lunch in Chivay, a typical town in the valley. In the afternoon, we undertake the return journey towards Arequipa with Pakareqtampu Travel’s transportation.
15:00 – 17:00 p.m. Arrival in Arequipa. Estimated arrival in the city, concluding the service near the downtown area.
